Application
Proline DURA EZ-ACCENT Water-Based Acrylic Stain comes in a 1 gallon jug that must be shaken thoroughly before use and periodically during use. EZ-ACCENT is a concrete stain that is designed to be translucent, blending with or accenting the base color that is showing through. Do not over-apply EZ-ACCENT stain, multiple coats may trap moisture vapor and lead to discoloration. It is not designed to be completely opaque. Do not be afraid to experiment, this product can be applied with a variety of techniques. For large areas, the best results are achieved by spraying through an HVLP Sprayer (High Volume Low Pressure) or a Pump Sprayer. For smaller accent areas, a standard trigger sprayer is ideal. Sprayers whose tips can be adjusted from fine mist to stream will give the best results. EZ-ACCENT can also be applied with a variety of faux finish techniques including rolling, brushing, sponging, and ragging. Water can be sprayed on during the application of the stain to blend different colors and soften hard edges. The best adhesion is achieved by applying EZ-ACCENT to an unsealed concrete surface, but it will also adhere well to other coatings including itself, and non-silicone concrete sealers. This product can be cleaned up easily with water while it is still wet, but removal of dried product must be accomplished with a chemical paint remover.
Sealing
Surface should be completely dry, usually a minimum of 24 hours after last surface rinsing, and swept clean before being sealed with recommended Proline Sealer.
